With the global supply chain shortages and long lead times for custom curved stairlifts, Stannah is opening a factory in Greer, SC to reduce lead times and offer fast turn around times for their customers.
They expect to start production in the third quarter of 2022. The curved rail will be fabricated in a new 31,200 square foot factory, and only for custom curved rail that will be build to fit the unique shape of each staircase.
By bringing their manufacturing to the United States they hope to eliminate the challenges of exporting finished rails across the Atlantic and increase company resiliance in a time of global disruption. Opening the factory in Greer, SC will bring skilled manufacturing jobs to the area.
More importantly it will reduce the lead times for dealers and end users in the USA.
